Bants2Business held the first event of the year on the 12th of February, 2022 at Latitude 13 Hotel in Lilongwe, Malawi.
The theme of the event was Managing Relationships in the Entrepreneurial Journey
The event brought together young entrepreneurs from different sectors to network, interact, and learn from each other on how to approach finding love and building lasting businesses – and how to navigate the delicate lines between family and societal expectations.
Panel Session
The Panel Session was facilitated by Godfrey Kambewa, with Ngabaghila Chatata and Trevor Kandoje as guests.
The panel discussed, among other things, the importance of legal documentation in a business partnership, entrepreneurship and building generational wealth, understanding and believing in your dream, and trusting your partner both in your relationship and business.
When running a business with someone you are in a relationship with, always remember to get your documentation in order. Include both your names in the documents. Do not base business decisions on fleeting emotions.

The panel also discussed the pros and cons of mixing business with personal relationships and how those two are often interlinked with each other because both businesses and relationships require time and money.
Having a partner who understands what you do and why you do it is important, because you may not always have the time or the money to spend on them on a whim because your business needs those (resources more) urgently. So having someone who understands your vision is key to a successful business and relationship.

The event closed with a raffle draw which saw 2 guests win 12 GB worth of internet bundles from Airtel Malawi, cumulatively.
